Working closely with their subsidiary company Fortescue Future Industries (FFI), WAE will be delivering a number of key strategic programmes - including Project Green Fleet - to enable the decarbonisation of FMG’s mining operations fleet and achieve net zero emissions by 2030.

Job role:
We are looking for exceptional candidates, graduating in the summer 2023 or who have graduated in the past year to join our Engineering Graduate Scheme.
The successful candidates will spend up to three years rotating across different engineering departments, covering a broad range of projects and engineering sectors, to maximise their exposure to the business. Example rotations could include Mechanical Development, Design, Vehicle Integration, Battery Integration, CAE and Technology Research.
Within each rotation you will deliver specific engineering projects which might include the design of componentry for vehicle systems, analysing the structural integrity of components and systems, conducting integration activities for vehicle and battery programmes or researching market trends and new technologies.
Upon completion of the scheme, you will transition into a permanent role closely aligned with your skills and interests (subject to business need).

You will join a cohort of fellow graduates within the scheme, be able to share experience and knowledge as well as benefitting from the wider Early Careers Network.
You’ll have:
You’ll have achieved (or be expecting to achieve) a degree-level qualification in mechanical, automotive, motorsport or aerospace engineering. We are also open to business related degrees, where further study in mechanical engineering is demonstrated. Possession of knowledge or practical experience within industry in design, analysis, physical testing or system engineering would be advantageous.
Successful candidates will be interested in working on a variety of sector-based projects and have a desire to develop a career as a Mechanical Engineer.
